This fabulous antique Suffragette lavaliere necklace was crafted during the Edwardian era and features a lovely floral pendant decorated with Gold flowers, Pearls a 0.20ct Peridot and a 0.75ct Amethyst dropper.
Suffragettes liked to be depicted as feminine, their jewellery popularly consisted of Violet, Green and White stones which were chosen to counter the masculine women’s rights stereotypes put forward by opponents. Green is for Give, white is for Women and violet is for Votes!
The piece is all 9ct Yellow Gold and displays beautiful design and workmanship from the period. It looks beautiful around the neck and is a wonderful tribute of the movement.
